Each week, my cousin (and sometimes sister) and I get together for a playdate. We’ve been meeting almost every Tuesday for the past couple of years. We’re always brainstorming how to entertain our children – especially around the various holidays. This week, we decided to decorate gingerbread houses. First we had to help them ‘glue’ (with vanilla frosting) the houses together. After ten minutes (and a few preschooler arguments later), it was time to decorate with more frosting and sprinkles.
It was a fun activity that kept their attention for twenty or so minutes (I think you could get more time out of this with an older child!) We let them have a cup of hot cocoa when they were finished! Job well done!
