Currently: August.

celebrating Martin’s first month! Time has flown by the past six-seven weeks. I’ll say that parenting two kiddos has been harder than expected (in some ways) and easier in others (which is typically how it goes.) I hope to write a post about the highs and lows of the first month (out in the next week or so!)

reading everything! I’m on my eight-sixth book of the year (only fourteen to go until I meet my 2017 goal.) I’ve been reading fiction and non-fiction. YA and adult literature. ‘Fluffy’ beach reads and more serious novels. My favorites of the year (so far): Shelter by Jung Yun, I Found You by Lisa Jewell, All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood, Young Jane Young by Gabrielle Zevin and The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood (an oldie but goodie!) What have you been reading? Any recommendations?

anticipating fall. I cannot wait to take Charlotte apple picking this year. She keeps talking about it and gets excited when she sees leaves on the ground because ‘it’s almost time to pick apples’ (as she says!)

watching Bachelor In Paradise. The Bachelor franchise is the only thing that I watch. Judge me if you will but I can’t look away.

How has August gone for you? I can’t believe summer is almost over. Whoo-hoo. Bring on Sept-Dec months!!

  1. Two kiddos sounds tough- I’m so glad you’re doing well! I just read A Handmaid’s Tale too. It was so chilling and I felt like her depiction of the descent into a police state was pretty believable. I’m heading to the Outer Banks this weekend, so maybe I’ll check out a few of your faves for the beach!

What do you have to say about this post? Any thoughts? Comments?
