binge-listening to several podcasts. I cannot get enough of The Lively Show, The Influence Podcast, On Air With Ella and (most recently) Gilmore Guys.
preparing for Charlotte’s first birthday party. I cannot believe how quickly the year has passed. I’d heard parents say that time flies when you have little ones – it’s true. I think it’s because you have someone else to measure time by (instead of just celebrating your own birthdays and milestones.) We’re celebrating her birthday on October 31st so the countdown to get organized is on!
creating new morning routines. My neighbor and I have been getting up a couple times each week for a 545AM morning walk. I’m loving the jumpstart to my morning and it’s nice to have some girl time before the day begins.
celebrating Marty’s twenty-seventh birthday.
embracing autumn traditions. Apple picking, crockpots of chili, camping, long walks under the changing leaves. This is just the best season!
reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. While I don’t agree with everything Kondo writes (I don’t intend to consider the ‘feelings’ of my socks and handbag), I do believe that we should respect our belongings and only keep the items we truly love. Slowly but surely I’ve been condensing my wardrobe. Having limited options really does make getting ready much easier. Have you read this book? I highly recommend if you haven’t!
spending time with fellow mamas. I started going to M.O.P.S. (Mothers of Preschoolers) at the beginning of the month. We’ve only had two sessions so far but it’s nice to have fellowship with women in a similar season of life.
How have you been spending September?
I’ve heard so much about the Tidying Up book, but I have yet to read it. I am a huge fan of organization, so maybe I’ll add it to my list.
Has it been a year already?! Charlotte is the cutest! You’re right about keep the belongs we truly love. I just did a little fall cleaning and found SO MUCH STUFF I don’t use and now how the fun task of trying to take it to the Salvation Army and local consignment shops.
She is getting SO BIG! I remember when you had her!!!!!! ❤
How fun!!! It sounds like you’re enjoying September! I can’t believe Charlotte is going to be a year old next month!!
Charlotte’s going to be one already. Say whaaaaat???! It’s crazy how fast time flies by. She looks so beautiful in these photos. Such a lady. Your fall sounds like it’s off to a good start! I must give those pod casts a try- I am always looking for interesting ones for my morning walks:)
First birthday? Oh my goodness! Where has the time gone? I cannot wait to see photos of the big day. Have you decided on a certain theme?
cheers to girl talk before beginning the day – i could definitely spend my morning that way 🙂 and wow, a year truly does go fast! seems like were were just getting your bump updates 🙂
So jealous that you are already getting to experience fall! That won’t happen here in Alabama until closer to November. Keep sharing those pretty pictures!
Also – Lately I’ve become podcast obsessed. I listen to them all the time! Have you ever Listened to The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey? Or Around the Table? I’ve been listening to those a bunch recently!
Oh Charlotte Rose! So beautiful!
I am very much in awe of your early wake ups, excellent discipline! A good strategy to hold yourself accountable to a neighbour 🙂 I could do with reading the Kondo book too, stuff just seems to multiply doesn’t it.
Thanks Kerry! I think she’s pretty adorable, too. Also, it definitely helps to have someone close to hold me accountable. Let me know if you read the Kondo book. I hope you benefit from it as much as I have!
Thanks lady, I think its definitely just what I need!
