May: Currently.

determined to start running again. I haven’t been sticking with my 10K app and it’s frustrating me. I will say that I’m finding it more difficult to run now that I’ve had a baby; however, it could be because I didn’t run during my pregnancy. My new plan is to write in the three weekly runs in my planner (and then stick to it like an appointment!)

traveling to Indianapolis this weekend for our annual Indy 500 family gathering. We’re leaving Charlotte with my cousin for a couple of days – it’ll be weird not to have her with us for the weekend. We’ve only been on ONE date since she’s been born so it’ll be nice to spend some quality time together.

thankful to finally meet up with a blogger friend at the beginning of the month. I’ve only met up with a handful of fellow bloggers but I’ve loved it every time!

toting around this Fossil crossbody bag. I’ve carried Fossil bags for the past five or six years and I just love them. Great quality leather and casually cute! This is a great bag for the spring/summer.

watching the new season of The Bachelorette on Hulu. I’m definitely ‘Team Kaitlyn’ and can’t wait to see how this season will play out.

waiting to see this documentary. Hillsong is one of my all-time favorite groups! I’m so excited for this behind-the-scenes look into the creation of their music.

volunteering at a wonderful Columbus nonprofit. I went through orientation to volunteer at a wonderful organization: Pregnancy Decision Health Center. My first volunteer shift begins today!

grateful to have found a new church. After MONTHS (really YEARS) of searching for the right church as husband + wife – we’ve found it! About a month ago Marty and I found a church about fifteen minutes from our house and absolutely love it. Excellent teachings, children’s ministry and worship team. I can’t wait to get involved this summer.

marveling at Charlotte’s growth & development. She can finally sit without face planting onto the floor. She’s also begun to get up on her hands + knees. I predict we have a crawler on our hands within the next couple of weeks…

wondering what’s next. What’ll my job be? What’s the next big trip? Where will God lead me in our new church?

What’s something that’s currently going on with you this month?

  1. Di, Charlotte is just gorgeous! I’m so glad to hear you guys have found a great church for you. John and I have been in the same predicament for years. As a result, we don’t attend regularly anymore, and I really miss it.

  2. team kaitlyn won! we were fans too, so it should be fun to see how the season plays out. also, your new volunteer gig sounds so rewarding – will definitely want to hear more 🙂 and congrats on finding a church home!

    1. I can’t wait to see how the season plays out either! Definitely a drama-filled season. I’ll let you guys know how the volunteering goes. It was fun to have Charlotte with me there last week. I just strapped her into the Baby Bijorn and sorted donations 🙂 It was fun to have her there with me.

  3. This is so fun! Glad that you will get to travel some and have a couple dates with your hubby! Very nice… she is so cute btw!! 🙂 Also, good luck with running! You can do it!! 🙂

  4. That’s so great that you guys found a church you love!! It’s truly life-changing to find a church to call “home.”
I hope and pray we can find one here sooner than later because we’re still looking, and the process is exhausting.

    1. It really is! Such a relief. I am volunteering in the infant (“bunnies”) area at the end of June 🙂 I’m really looking forward to fellowship with a new group of people.

The process really is exhausting. Fingers crossed that you find one soon!

  5. That’s fantastic that you’re volunteering at the pregnancy center – you are going to be a light for some women who are walking through very dark valleys, I’m sure.
Exciting that you found a church, too!

    Of course, it’s a given that I’m with ya on #TeamKaitlyn 😉

Currently…I’m getting ready to move at the end of the month. Excited and stressed, but overall it’s going to be a great adventure!

  6. I’d like to find a new church soon. Since we moved I’ve been slacking a little bit and I know that it’d be a nice way to feel more at home in our new town. Gosh, I hope Kaitlyn is the bachelorette! I’m ready to find out already!!

  7. I love Fossil purses! That cross body is so cute. I’ve had one from them but all leather in my wishlist for a long time. Hopefully some day I can get it! haha.

Good luck with the running. It is hard to find the time. I try to jog at least 2 times a week.

Currently David and I are sanding our entire back deck, which is pretty large. We’ve spent the last 2 weekends working on it and are hoping to have it done with the three day weekend coming up. Then I’m hosting my friends bridal shower on June 14th! Should be fun!

    1. I always use to carry a tote but I’ve carried a cross body bag for the past few years (they were more convenient when biking to school.)

I think jogging a few times/week is a great way to maintain your endurance. I really wish I would’ve kept at it! Ergh.

Good luck sanding your deck this weekend! Sounds like quite the endeavor but I’m sure it’ll look awesome when it’s completed. 🙂
