“Nothing prepared me for the privilege of being yours”
Oh, motherhood. What a privilege it is to get to parent Charlotte. While there are most certainly difficult times, I wouldn’t trade one moment with my precious girl.

My first Mother’s Day was spent with my favorite people.
The day began with my little ‘alarm clock’ waking me up at 6:15AM. We spent some time together until Marty woke up and took her to Starbucks before church. We decided to visit my parents church since we were running a bit behind and thought it’d be a nice surprise for Mother’s Day.
After church, we came home and I opened my gift from Marty. He wrote me the most thoughtful card and gave me a new Rifle Paper Co. journal, local handmade soaps & a cute, local tee. He knows me well!
Around one, we headed to my cousin’s house for lunch and more celebration with my family members.
The day ended with some alone time as Marty took Charlotte out to dinner, giving me a little bit of a break. A relaxing way to end a wonderful day.
How was your Mother’s Day? Were any of you celebrating your first, as well? So excited for all of the babies that’ll be making their grand debut in the coming month(s)!
i’m a bit behind here (you can probably guess why!) but the day sounds lovely. how does your husband know how to shop so well? jon doesn’t visit stores, and when he ventures online to guess what i might like.. well.. we usually have some giggles. love the gorgeous pictures in this post 🙂
Oh my gosh Diane!! This is so precious!! She is beautiful and so are you!! Perfect together! So sweet!!! 🙂
Looks like you had such a great mother’s day!!! And that you got to spend it with not only your own little family, but your extended family as well. What a special surprise!
Sounds like a lovely Mother’s Day!! We took my mother to a cute Mexican eatery upstate. I got us tickets to see a Wendy Williams!
Sounds like a fantastic Mother’s Day! You look stunning, and such a natural mama.<3
Thanks lady! 🙂
You are just gorgeous my friend, I don’t see any evidence of sweet potatoes and peanut butter on your bod! 😉
Thanks friend! I appreciate it 😉

Most definitely! 😀
What a nice day! I love that Marty took Charlotte out so you could have some alone time — that’s so sweet!
Thank you for tagging me — I’m SO excited too!
I’m so excited for you, too! I want to make a trip to Indy to see you + your bump (and another once baby girl arrives!)
So beautiful! I’m so happy for you, you seem like such a loving and graceful mama 🙂
Thank you friend!
That sounds wonderful! I’m not a mom yet, but my hubby did get me a card – which was so thoughtful. I’d love to start having babies, but the timing just isn’t right for us yet, but it meant so much that he thought about me anyway!
Happy belated Mother’s day!
That is really sweet of him! What a thoughtful hubby 🙂
Yay! Happy to hear you had a great mothers day.
Glad you had such a wonderful Mother’s Day! I love the gift that Marty got you, and I bet your mom loved having you around for some of the day, too.
