It’s time for a ‘little life updates’ post I completely forgot about these posts in November and December so I have a bit of catching up to do with all of you…
– Chang-ing up my hair. My hair was in DIRE need of a cut (my last one hadn’t been since the beginning of March) so I decided to go in for a few inches off. One appointment turned into three appointments as the first stylist didn’t really do much and left my hair looking quite boring. A week later, the second stylist (who was supposed to fix the first cut) used the wrong scissors, chopped awkward layers and took another two inches off leaving me, once again, less than impressed. I was really embarrassed to complain a second time but I only get two haircuts a year and I wanted to be happy with the cut. I ended up booking an appointment with my normal stylist to see if she could clean up the style and, I’m happy to report, she did! I would’ve just booked an appointment with her to begin with but she had nothing available around the time I made my first appointment. Takeaway: take the time and wait for your normal stylist. (I only have a comparison picture from the first cut but you can see the new length in my New York pictures!)
– Celebrat-ing Cameron’s fourth birthday. I can’t believe I’ve been a nanny for nearly a year and half! There are days that I’m ready to move on and other days that I can’t imagine parting ways from this family. Celebration days are especially fun!
– Read-ing, read-ing and more read-ing. Can you believe that I completed my challenge of reading fifty-two books last year? I actually ended the year with fifty-eight total! (Find me on Goodreads!) As for the books I read in January:

What have you been up to this month? Do you have any book suggestions for 2014?
