I can’t believe our trip to New York has already come and gone. We left last Sunday morning and arrived back into Columbus late Friday night. We spent a few days in the city last year (again – right after Christmas); however, we actually stayed for New Years Eve this time.
I can’t tell you how much I love New York City. Such wonderful food and I love the fast pace lifestyle. I also love public transit. I wish there was a subway system in Columbus!!
- Nom Wah Tea Parlor : We wanted to find an authentic Chinese restaurant while in Chinatown and this was just the place. Delicious dim sum (though not the best place if you’re looking for a healthier meal.)
- Saigon Shack : Best bowl of Pho I’ve ever had. Period. Fast paced restaurant and not the best service; however, the food was totally worth it.
- Ninth Ward : Our favorite bar. We’ve traveled around to so many places and this still ranks at the top of our list.
- Hale & Hearty : Although this is more of a chain ‘fast food’ restaurant; I really enjoyed it. Marty and I were looking to warm up with a bowl of soup when we stumbled upon a Hale & Hearty restaurant. I had a bowl of the Lentil Chilli and it kept me full for several hours. I highly recommend this place if you’re 1) in the mood for a delicious soup (SO MANY CHOICES) and 2) next a healthier ‘fast food’ choice.
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!!
