One Weekend: Two Weddings.

Hey Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful week(end) full of festive and fun Fourth of July events!

My weekend was a bit crazy to say the least. It all began last Thursday morning when I headed up to West Middlesex, Pennsylvania to attend my best friend’s (Kristina) wedding. The actual wedding wasn’t until Friday night but we had the rehearsal dinner on Thursday and also planned on having a little Bachelorette party afterwards.

Her husbands’ family farm was just gorgeous. Forty acres of crops, luscious vegetable gardens, cows and a picturesque red barn (not to mention that the actual house was built in the early 1800s!) It was the perfect setting for Kristina’s dream wedding.Β

As the ceremony was – almost- about to begin, it began to DOWNPOUR for a good ten minutes; however, it quickly cleared up and there was even a gorgeous rainbow.

The wedding was fairly short and sweet with Kristina and Clint reciting their own vows to one another (I always love that special touch!)

Kristina and Clint’s wedding was one beautiful DIY wedding! From the decor to the food and entertainment, they held true to themselves and their own unique style.Β To complete the ‘backyard’ feel – guests were served barbecue, fresh pies and homemade ice cream! It was all exactly how I envisioned Kristina’s wedding: vintage and lovely.

After Kristina’s wedding on Friday night, Marty and I drove back to Columbus so I could sing in another friends wedding on Saturday evening.

My good friend, Jules, married the love of her life on Saturday night. I was SO happy that Marty and I were able to witness the loveliness of their ceremony and vows (I was originally unsure if we could attend because I thought Kristina’s wedding fell on the same day!)Β

Have you been to any weddings this summer?Β

  1. What a beautiful, simple & loving ceremony. You & the bride looked beautiful! Glad you were able to head out East to be apart of this wonderful moment in your best friends life ❀

    1. Thanks Corrie πŸ™‚ I think I only have one or two more single friends (also my sister’s wedding at the beginning of August) left! I’ll be sad when there are no more weddings to attend 😦

  2. Such beautiful pictures!! I love all the outdoor settings. Definitely the way to go in my opinion πŸ™‚
The last time I was at a wedding was when I was about seven, and I was the flower girl. But I want to go to another one so bad! They’re just so gorgeous and a great excuse to dress up all fancy πŸ˜‰

  3. I love DIY weddings. They are so much more memorable then the standard one most people have. These photos are beautiful.

  4. You have the most beautiful collection of dresses ever. I’m seriously loving all three in this post.

Two weddings in one weekend sounds a little crazy and reminiscent of 27 Dresses πŸ™‚ But I’m glad you were able to make it to both and had an awesome time. The collage of pictures from the weddings look like they went wonderfully.

    1. Thank you πŸ™‚ I just started wearing dresses over the past couple of years. I love how easy they are to throw on! Also, I don’t think I have ever seen 27 Dresses all the way through – I will have to do so! I just love Katherine Heigl.

  5. I LOVE WEDDINGS!! I love the vintage DIY style of your first wedding, and I LOVE the grooms outfit in the second wedding! I have a wedding to go to next weekend, my third wedding ever!
