Lots of Lists.

Warning: Nerdy Blog Post Ahead.

I don’t know about you but I write little lists for almost everything that I do. Grocery lists, to-do lists, play-date lists, ‘books-to-read’ checklists, bucket lists, ‘where I’ve been’ lists – I’m serious, I have a list for just about everything.

The thing I enjoy the most about creating lists is when I can cross something off; it means I’m closer to finishing my to-do list, accomplishing a goal I’ve set for myself, or keeping track of something that’s important to me. While I enjoy making lists for myself, I think Marty finds me to be a bit of a control freak – in a good way, I’m sure πŸ˜‰

My most recent list is a book list I’ve written for summer πŸ™‚

Bucket List: Summer 2013 Books
Salt, Sugar, Fat by Michael Moss
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
All Natural by Nathanael Johnson
The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri
Bringing Up Bebe by Pamela Druckerman
Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

What about you? Do you make lists? Do you have a summer book list?Β

  1. I love lists too..I think a lot of us bloggers do!! I love daily lists of “to-do’s” but if it gets to be bigger and month long lists I may get a bit overwhelmed. Same would go for the book list, I would want to cross them all off at once haha.

    1. Humans have the ability to multitask…I only wish this meant I could read more than one book at a time. Would that be awesome if both hands could be holding a book and each eye could read one and each side of the brain would understand both books at one time? Haha. I have clearly thought too much about this….

    1. That was actually for the Whole Foods job πŸ™‚ I just forgot to write a date next to it. πŸ™‚ I actually can’t remember if I have posted on here yet , but I actually quit. I was starting to get waaay too overwhelmed and I had several people tell me that I needed to drop it (including Marty.) it was fun while it lasted and I enjoyed the perks for a few months but full time work with all the other obligations made it really difficult to balance another part time job every week- you know?

  2. I’m reading Salt, Sugar, Fat right now! (Although I lost my kindle… so I’m reading it on my phone for now, haha.) It’s so good but SO eye opening that it’s kind of scary!

  3. I’m obsessed with lists too! I want to make a summer reading list, but I’m committed to reading through my never-ending stack of magazines FIRST! It’s been so long since I’ve relaxed with a magazine, so I’m giving myself some time to do just that!

  4. I have like four things to say. Your blog is awesome. It’s so adorable. I had no idea it was updated. Second, your lists are awesome. I write lists like you because that’s the only way I get anything done. Third, I can’t wait to read what you have to say about these books. You have such an eclectic mix of books there too! : ) Okay, maybe three.

  5. I have SO many lists as notes in my phone. Wedding lists, to-do lists, bucket lists, book lists…the list of lists goes on and on! haha

I LOVED The Fault in Our Stars. John Green’s books are all amazing!

    1. Sometimes I’ll write lists on both post-it’s and in my phone as notes πŸ˜€

So far, The Fault in Our Stars has been a bit depressing but I am going to keep pushing through it. I have only heard good things!
