Fall is undoubtedly my favorite season. The leaves, the cool weather, the food, the clothes, the holidays, the pumpkin (yes, this deserves its own category)– it’s the perfect time of year. That said, I decided to make a fall bucket list.
- Go to the Renaissance Festival
- Go to the pumpkin patch
- Carve pumpkins
Go apple picking- Watch a scary movie on the front porch with blankets and hot cider
- Make a homemade pumpkin spice latte
- Make a pumpkin pie from scratch
- Go to a football game at Marty’s school
- Go to Oktoberfest
- Go for a nature walk
- Coffee date with Marty (festive drinks on a patio!)
- Run a fall race
- Make a homemade apple pie
- Circleville Pumpkin Show
I’m happy to say we completed one activity off the list over the weekend: apple picking!
I had never been apple picking (although Marty and I did take our engagement pictures in an apple orchard last year) but it seemed like the perfect way to begin this fun, festive season! Apple picking was so much fun and the market at Lynd’s Farm had some amazing deals on veggies and homemade goods. We picked up a couple of jars of jam, honey, five green peppers (for $1), five mini pumpkins (for $1) and a bag of Honey Crisp apples. Successful day at Lynd’s Fruit Farm!
I just went apple picking for the first time of the season last week. I love it. Only now I have to figure out what to do with all the apples. A tart, maybe?
I’m hoping to make a homemade apple pie. I think we might actually go and pick some more because are going through them so quickly. SO DELICIOUS!
What a fun bucket list!! I’ve never been apple picking, but it sounds like so much fun. Good luck on the homemade pumpkin pie. It’s pretty easy just so you know ❤ 🙂
Do you have any good recipes to share? 🙂
Fun! I want to go apple picking soon!
It would be awesome if I could spell, especially the words that I put in all caps! haha.
I LVOE your list, especially “watch a scary movie on the front porch with blankets and hot cider”…makes me wish we had a porch!
I’m excited for that one too! Hey – actually one of the activities on the list I thought we could make a double date: the Renaissance Festival! We should go together 🙂
This looks like so much fun! Carving pumpkins is on my fall bucket list too!
gorgeous pics – so clear, crisp & pretty!
thanks for linking up my latte!
You’re very welcome! I love the latte recipe! Looks really simple and much healthier than the Starbucks counterpart 🙂
Great list! I’ve been meaning to make mine too so I should get on that. I’ve always wanted to go apple picking…it looks like you had a good time!
Head out to Lynd’s – you’ll have a great time and, like I said, there are some GREAT deals at the Lynd’s market 🙂 It’s about 25-30 minutes for Columbus!
I checked out their website and it looks like a great place. I’m going to try to talk my husband into making a trip there with me! I’m sad that I missed honeycrisps though! Even the grocery store was all sold out of them today. 😦
