My 24th Birthday.

Welcome to the first day of my 24th year.

Oh what a year 23 was…I was married to the love of my life, graduated from the Ohio State University, created my own business, took my honeymoon on a cross-country trip and made some wonderful new friends! Albeit stressful at times, it truly was one of the best years of my life.

To celebrate, my parents organized a brunch at their place. My mom made yummy baked oatmeal and, by request, a lemon cake. I found a delicious lemon cake recipe on Martha Stewart’s website and knew that’s what I had to have.

I really enjoyed the afternoon and was glad that we chose to have the party at my parents house instead of a restaurant; it feels more personal and I can talk to everyone without yelling down the table.

Later that night, I opened my gifts from Marty. He got me a bread maker! I have been wanting one for months now and was so excited to open the box. He even got me a notebook to put all of my bread recipes in 🙂

Looking forward to 2012-2013 as a 24-year-old!
