After church, Marty and I thought it’d be fun to take Roscoe to the dog park. We’d discussed taking him the past few Sundays but, unfortunately our schedules, work and pure sleepiness got in the way. Not today.
We had a great time and were so happy that Roscoe was able to run around in all of the open space. We don’t have much of a yard for him to roam around in, so it’s always nice when we can get him out for a walk or to a park.
Things we learned on our trip to the dog park:
1.) Roscoe does not like to swim. He basically wades in the water and dashes out whenever something else catches his attention.
2.) Everything catches his attention. We looked to our right and there was Roscoe. We looked to our left and there was Roscoe. Behind us. In front of us. Needless to say, he was a very busy man today.
3.) In Roscoe’s mind: little dogs = cats.
4.) Big dogs = fun…until they are scary. Roscoe loved playing with all of the dogs but if he felt a bigger dog getting too ‘close for comfort’ he would run to our side for ‘back-up’.
5.) We want to take Roscoe on more trips to the dog park.
