The Day After: Post Wedding in Granville.

I just realized that I hadn’t posted any pictures of our ‘pre-Honeymoon’ in Granville. Unfortunately (with Marty being a teacher) we were unable to take the time to go on a Honeymoon following the wedding; however, we’ll be taking it in March. Despite being bummed about not taking a honeymoon, it was nice to take a day and a half together.

We stayed at the Welsh Hills Inn – where we had our wedding – in the Berllan Glyn. It was lovely.

For breakfast the next morning, the inkeeper served mushroom, tomato, feta, asparagus omelets with homemade wheat bread and a mixed fruit salad with cilantro- YUM! All the breakfasts we’ve enjoyed at the Welsh Hills Inn have been fabulous!

For the next few hours, we enjoyed coffee, opened our gifts and read cards. It was the perfect couple of hours.

After we opened our gifts, we went in Granville for lunch. We stumbled upon a yummy Mexican cafe, Day y Noche. I had black bean cakes. (And, of course, we enjoyed chips and salsa- OUR FAVORITE SNACK!)

Next we walked around Denison University…

The next morning, we woke up to rain lightly sprinkling the windows. The scent of coffee filled the halls as well approached the dining room. Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong serenaded us as we enjoyed french toast and coffee by candle light. The rain poured a little harder. I will always remember that moment. It was such a perfect end to our wonderful wedding weekend. I was sad to get back to reality but enjoyed every moment we spent together.

Granville will always be a special place for Marty and I ❤
