>The Glass Castle

Author: Jeannette Walls
My Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
What’s so intriguing about this story is that it’s true.  The story is full of ups and downs – ultimately retelling the events of Jeannette Walls’ life (most of which, I couldn’t believe).

After reading this memoir, I took some time to reflect on my own life. Walls’ lived such a unique and tragic (at least, in my opinion) childhood. Both parents were a huge disappointment, always letting her down – there was no stability. I cannot begin to imagine the pain she endured.

How brave of Walls to be so open and honest with her audience; whereas most would repress these memories – or at the very least, never share them with the world.

Definitely a worthwhile read – and an easy read at that.
