Oh Christmas Tree.

On Sunday afternoon Marty and I ventured out into the snowy weather in search of our first real Christmas tree.

There isn’t much to say about the experience except that it was surprisingly more romantic than I expected (I think the snow added a little something extra!)

Have you ever gone to cut down a Christmas tree?

These pictures are sooooo pretty! I wish it snowed that much here. It was like a stupid inch and then it rained… I was so sad lol

I love all of these pictures! We got a real one last year, and I must say, it was much more romantic than putting up an artificial one this year. Maybe next year we’ll get a real one again!

Wish we’d get some here! It’s quite mild and dry which is handy but it feels so festive when it snows!

How fun! Especially in all of that snow! I have to say, picking out a Christmas tree is always one of my favorite holiday traditions!

So I may have played this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_3ngTHs6gA as I read through your post. Seriously. As soon as I saw the title I hopped on over to Youtube and found it. If you scroll through the pictures real slow it’s perfect :D

I get to put up our fake tree every year? Does that count? Really, even if it’s not real I love it all the same.

Aw! Haha! Thank you for the YouTube link :) I’m glad you enjoyed scrolling through!

And yes- all Christmas trees count! We had a fake one last year and it was just as nice to admire throughout the Christmas season :)

Trick-or-Treat 2014: Handed out candy to the neighborhood kiddos, enjoyed homemade black bean chili + cornbread for dinner and watched 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' to end our evening. 🎃👻 #happyhalloween #trickortreat2014 "To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved is, well, a lot like being loved by God. It is what we need more than anything. It liberates us from pretense, humbles us out of our self-righteousness, and fortifies us for any difficulty life can throw at us." -Timothy Keller
