Two recipes down…twenty-eight to go
For my second breakfast in this challenge I decided to go with a yummy ‘Coffee Protein Shake’ I had pinned last month. Coffee in my morning shake? Sounds like a good plan to me!

Anyways, I clicked on the pin and realized that the recipe had actually come from one of my favorite bloggers: Fit Is the New Black. If you haven’t checked out her blog, I highly recommend you do so! Holly is the creator of the site and she gives GREAT fitness and health tips. She is direct, honest and knowledgeable; I always look forward to her posts
Thanks Holly for this delicious shake!

So the recipe? Another easy one!
Coffee Protein Shake
(via Fit is the New Black)
1 cup Cold Coffee
1 cup Almond Milk
1/2 Frozen Banana
1 scoop Protein Powder (vanilla or chocolate)
2 cups Ice
In a blender, combine all ingredients. Pour into cup and enjoy!
My Review: I really enjoyed this shake. It reminded me of a Frosty from Wendy’s (I mean, obviously it’s not exactly a Frosty but they are quite similar.)
I am not sure if it would last me until lunch or a morning snack; however, if you use a higher level protein it would likely hold you over until your next meal.

Let me know if you 1) try it 2) like it! Also, don’t forget to check out Holly’s page!
This sounds great. Like a starbucks frappe, but better because it has PROTEIN
I love Wendy’s Frostys so it sounds like this would definitely be worth a try!!
any breakfast that can be eaten out of a mason jar immediately catches my attention! I am in the same boat you you though, shakes like this just don’t quite fill me up, so I would definitely eat some toast + PB with it
Wow Di great job!! So making this soon!
ooooh yum! such a great idea!!!
I’ll try anything that tastes like a frosty
haha that osunds so good!
Girl, this sounds so wonderful!! I just bought myself some latte protein mix that I can hardly wait to try out in a smoothie.
This sounds so good! I don’t like bananas, though :/… I wonder if I could try substituting something else?
You may be able to leave it out and maybe just add a sweetener?
OMG! Thanks for posting this. I love how you put it into a mason jar. It looks 100 percent more chic!
You’re welcome Holly! Thanks again for the delicious recipe- I have had one for the past couple of days
Will have to try this x
I’m glad you liked the look of this one
Enjoy!!
i do this as well, yum yum! a great way to wake up and start the day with protein and caffeine !
It really is tasty – I hope you like it!
This looks delicious! I definitely want to try it, but like you said I’d probably have to have it with something else in order to stay full until lunchtime! Worth a shot though!
YUM!! I love coffee, and if it has some extra OOMPH in it, even better!
