For my next blog post, I have a few ideas floating around in my mind; however, I’m a bit too lazy to tap into my creative side and actually publish any of them at the moment. That said, I decided to make a short list of some ‘confessions’ on my mind today…
- I confess that…I wasn’t as productive as I would’ve liked to have been during my week off. One full week off of nannying and I didn’t do any house work or homework for my teaching license. Oops. I will say that I felt completely relaxed and I was able to catch up with a few friends, get a workout in everyday, hit a few thrift stores and rest (while watching Downton Abbey, New Girl and reading From Black Heels to Tractor Wheels) Back to work tomorrow!

- I confess that…I’m afraid to start my 10K training tomorrow. I haven’t been consistent with my running in over two months and I’m fearful that I’ll pretty much have to start from scratch. Despite my current workout schedule, I just think running is another story…I’m trying not to feel discouraged.
- I confess that…I am starting to fall in love with my husband in ways that I haven’t before. It’s been a tough couple of months (for me) in trying to adjust to working full time (call me prissy but it has been a shift from working flexible hours to nine hour days), changing churches and loosing touch with old friends; however – through God’s grace – I have seen how difficult and selfish I have been and Marty has walked along side of me throughout it all. I feel truly blessed to have him as my husband and am thankful for this time of growth in our marriage.

- I confess that…I start a new part time job at the beginning of March…at Whole Foods
I applied for a cashier position and instead was offered a position in the wellness/whole body section. I’m stoked. Everyone I met was so genuine and easygoing – I’m really looking forward to making new relationships. The team leader did mention that the training process is a bit intense (learning the vitamins, shakes, etc.) but nothing that can’t be handled. Hello 20% discount!

-I confess that…I have never seen 30 Rock, Parenthood, or Glee. Are any worth watching? And if so, where do I start? Gotta love Netflix…
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Do you have anything to confess??

Congrats on the Whole Foods job coming up. That’s really cool! My mom is such a natural wellness/vitamin lover.
Definitely give Parenthood a try. I remember when it first came on I tried watching the first episode, but I thought it was kind of silly. Now I love it!
That’s so cool about the Whole Foods job! Good luck
30 Rock! And congrats about the new gig!
Working at Whole Foods will be lots of fun! Love that place!
If I was working at Whole Foods, everything I made would go right back to the store! I love your tribute to your husband, Di. A wonderful husband is one of God’s best blessings!
Thanks Natalie
And yes, my paycheck will definitely be going back into Whole Foods so Marty and I decided that since it’s only a part-time job (maybe 10-12 hours/week) that we’d use those paychecks for groceries. We’re going to budget my nanny money and his teaching money for other things. I’m hoping it works! Groceries are expensive but the 20% discount should help. Still, I was shocked to see how much we spent on groceries last month for just two people!!
A job at Whole Foods? Dream come true
Maybe I’ll see you there sometime. We usually go to the large Columbus Whole Foods on Dublin Granville.
Wait! I didn’t realize you lived in Ohio! Did I know this? I’m actually going to be working at the other one (it’s about 15 minutes from the Dublin Granville one); however, Marty and I are always doing date night at the Dublin Granville location!
Too funny!
Actually, I just realized the other day that you lived in Ohio too. We totally need to have a blogger meet-up or something this summer. Know any other Ohio bloggers?
I’ve been to the other Whole Foods too, we just normally visit the other one because it’s closer to Trader Joe’s. Sadly it’s an hour away, so I only get to visit on special occasions like birthdays and things. Haha.
I’m not sure of other bloggers in Ohio
I know several in the surrounding states but you’re the first from Ohio! We should definitely do a blogger meet up this summer! I have been wanting to do that for awhile now but didn’t think I followed anyone from Ohio.
So exciting. We should try to find more Ohio bloggers for our meetup!
Definitely. Have you ever read Clean Eats Fast Feets? I know she’s from Ohio too.
we have been working our way through 30 rock on netflix and we love it. it takes a certain sense of humor though (demented, maybe?). it’s definitely worth a shot. good luck in your new job, that’s exciting!
Working at WF sounds fun!! I love what you shared about falling in love with all the changes and everything going on. I can relate!!
You’re going to be awesome at your new job! How perfect
And you’ll be great with your 10K too
Love these! I can relate to the husband one. Since I started my permanent job in the schools, it has been a lot harder for me to balance all of the things I do around the house, “me” time, and making time for my husband. We’re also in the process of buying a house, which is just stressful. January was not an easy month for us, but I’m so glad that we’re finally learning how to balance everything.
Congratulations on the new job! The people who work at Whole Foods always look so happy — I think that’d be a fun job! Will you continue to nanny also?
Sounds like you had a perfectly relaxing week off! Good luck with the 10K training!
gah working at whole foods! that is awesome, I bet there will be so many perks with that. I love the confession about you and your husband, that is so nice to hear and I bet amazing to be feeling
Love your confessions, Di. So sweet about your husband. And congrats on your new job! Sounds like a really good fit for you. I have never seen “Parenthood” and stopped watching “Glee” altogether, so you’re not alone. There’s just not enough time in the day, and you can’t spend all of it in front of the TV!
Congratulations on your new job hunnie. That is so exciting. I can’t wait to hear all about it, and how you like your position once you start
