I just realized that I never recapped the holiday season. I had planned on blogging the day before I left for NYC but ended up having to work (and then Marty and I went to see Life of Pi so I ran out of time!)
I can truthfully say that I experienced my favorite holiday season of my adult life. December was full of festive outings, treats, friends and family; I couldn’t have asked for a better few weeks.
In the days leading up to Christmas, I was able to: bake cookies with my mom and sister, take Marty to see Christmas Vacation at a local movie theater, visit the zoo for the Wild Lights and attend a German Christmas celebration at my church (it may sound weird but it was AMAZING!)

Then there was Christmas. The Boden Christmas celebration was just as amazing as last years and we were able to spend more time with my family on Christmas Day before heading to Marty’s grandmother’s house.

A FULL few days of activities but I wouldn’t change it for the world.

Have you ever forgotten to blog about something, only to go back and recap later on? Please don’t tell me I’m the only one…
Girl, you are gorgeous! Love the pictures, love the cats, love the headband/ear warmers, and love your big smiles! Looks like a great holiday season in my opinion
That is so sweet of you to say
Thank you! It was definitely a great holiday season.
love the Christmas pictures and those warm looking headbands!!
I never wore headbands until this year and I’m so glad I decided to buy one. I always thought they were similar to hats (I don’t look the best in hats) but I think they give a completely different look!
Is that It’s a Wonderful Life I see?? That’s a favorite!
It is
It’s a favorite of mine too! I love James Stewart!
You are not the only one! I never recapped my trip to Mackinaw, which was back in October. I still want to recap it, but it’s been three months now! Your pictures are beautiful. It looks like it was a great holiday season!
LOVE these pictures!! Especially the cats
. I also love that knitted headband you have, it’s adorable!
Love these, Di! The zoo lights look like so much fun and I love that still of “It’s a Wonderful Life” on the TV…brings me right back to the holidays! Your ear warmer headband is adorable, just like you! And I think German Christmas sounds awesome.
What an absolute beautiful holiday you had. I so wish we lived near one another so you could take pictures of Joshua & I!! You really are very talented hunnie <3 <3
I would totally do that for you guys! I’m wish you lived closer
When do you guys plan on moving back to the states?
Of course!! Especially golden pictures like that!!!!! Love it. MORE CHRISTMAS ! lol
Beautiful photos, making me wish it was christmas season again
I love your recap! Sounds like a great time:)
All of these pictures are so cute… makes me miss Christmas!
You guys look like you had such a great holiday! I do not think a German celebration sounds weird-I love experiencing new things like that. My husband’s family is German, but since that side lives in Minnesota I’ve never really gotten to experience the “Germaness”! P.S. I would love to see Christmas Vacation in the theatre!!
When the Christmas season rolls around later this year, check the ‘artsy’ theaters around where you live and see if any are playing Christmas Vacation or other holiday movies. I doubt these types of movies are playing at a typical theater but the art-ier, independent theaters are always playing fun movies like this!
Unfortunately, we’re too rural to have “artsy” theatres, but I go to Dallas all the time and I bet they’ll have something!
these pictures are gorgeous! i am glad you had such a great holiday season
