Our third day in NYC was both a long and busy one. We began our day at Fluffy’s Cafe. Simply amazing bagels and coffee!

Afterwards, we walked down into Times Square.

And then to Grand Central Station.

Central Park was next.

And then we hopped on a train to visit the 9/11 Memorial.

By this time it was late afternoon and we were famished, so we hopped back onto the Subway and headed to SOHO for a late lunch.

And some coffee.

For the next couple of hours we moseyed around Greenwich Village until meeting up with his cousin for dinner and drinks at Robert in Columbus Circle – what a treat! It was the perfect ending to our little trip to NYC.

Simply stated: Our trip to NYC was fabulous. Despite the cold temperatures, we were able to see a great deal of the city while finding places to cozy up in to stay warm. I’d always wanted to visit NYC around Christmas time and it really exceeded my expectations. The decorations made the city even more picturesque – it really was magical. I can’t wait to return.

I’m so happy you loved NYC. It’s amazing, even though I’m biased:) The thing about the city is that it has incredible energy and diversity. And every little area has such a different vibe. I just wish apartments weren’t so outrageously expensive.
Love the pics!
Great pics! I would definitely get a really good bagel if I was in NY:) Glad you had a great time and happy New Year Di!
Looks like a lovely time in the city
Wonderful pictures Di! And amazing value where you stayed!
these are all amazing pictures, now I need to book my trip to NYC! haha
So glad you had a great time! I’ve been to NYC many times before, but I don’t think I’ve ever visited Grand Central. Also, I love how you guys seemed to visit so many “hidden gems” instead of just the touristy spots!
Gorgeous pics, Di! I haven’t been to New York in a while but it’s such a fun and vibrant city. That bagel alone makes me want to make the trip!
I’m so glad you had a good time!! I haven’t been there in 4 years now and my husband has never been so I would love to take a trip together sometime. I desperately want a genuine NYC bagel now!
Ah, I would love to go someday! Will you be sharing where you stayed? My biggest concern is the price of hotels!
I should actually do a blog post about how we stayed because it is the same way that we were able to do our honeymoon for so cheap! I’ll share the details in the next post or two but I will say for the 4 nights we were there…we only paid around $200!
