Over the weekend Marty and I went to North Carolina to visit some family and to celebrate the upcoming birth of baby Levi (in December.)

After the shower, we went back to his aunt and uncles house for dinner and the Olympics.

On Sunday we all headed to Virginia Beach for some R&R and seafood.

Some of us ended up trying raw oysters for the first time
Cheers!

We finished out the day with a cookout – what better way to end a summer day

In other news… my half-marathon training is coming along great! I dedided to follow Hal Higdon’s novice schedule and, so far, it has proven to work well. The one thing I’ve noticed is how important it is to eat a little something before a run. Nothing too heavy but a piece of fruit has proven to really help my endurance and performance. Today begins week two of the training. Wish me luck!

What beautiful baby shower. Those cupcakes are absolutely adorable. Nothing better than ending your day @ Virginia Beach with yummy seafood. The hubs & I actually just moved away from VA Beach. Lovedd it there!
Virginia Beach was fun – I love when I can get fresh seafood!!!
That baby shower looks so adorable! I love fun themes!
I love fun themes too (and now with Pinterest – I feel like it will be impossible to choose themes for my own children’s birthday)
